SodaSorb HP absorbs carbon dioxide in helium-oxygen breathing systems, hyperbaric
chambers and scuba apparatus. Indicator SodaSorb, contains ethyl violet which changes
color from white to purple as its capacity for absorption is exhausted. (also available
in non-indicating for the military) normal mesh size is 4-8 Tyler. SodaSorb HP is
especially processed into porous, coral-like granules in order to expose the greater
area of absorbent surface. In cannisters these knobby granules permit free inter-granular
circulation of gases. They have no flat surfaces to stack and block, and their hardness
makes them highly resistant to powdering and breakage. Laboratory tests have proven
SodaSorb HP to be fully effective 2-3 times as long as other absorbents. Standard
